Jesus loving, tea drinking, cake and chocolate consuming, deep thinker, highly sensitive, creative, wife, mother but mostly, an ordinary human sharing from the heart. With lived experience of chronic illness and complex trauma, I am passionate about journeying alongside people and providing safe spaces where they feel truly seen, heard, loved and valued. Heartworks shares some of my personal journey with God, deep into the wounds of my heart. Stitching together poetry, doodles, thoughts, prayers and difficult questions, it explores the very essence of what it means to be human in a complex world, the unfathomable depths of God’s love for us and the (often uncomfortable, sometimes painful) process of nurturing our hearts and the people He truly created us to be. Read it slowly, ponder it, pray over it. Be inquisitive, be honest, dare to ask the difficult questions. Laura x
